DIE ZENTRALREGION

Dies ist die Region, in der die Insel ihre maximale Breite erreicht und  in der sich das hφchste Bergmassiv Kretas befindet, der PSILORITIS ( 2456  m ), der das gesamte Gebiet beherrscht.

An der Nordküste sind die grösstenteils gedrängt vollen touristischen Zentren vereint (Armudára, Chersónissos, Mália) und der Rummel.

Dort sind jedoch auch kleinere und stillere Buchten, wie die malerischen BALI und AGIA PELAGIA.

 

THE CENTRAL REGION

This is the region in which the island has its maximal width and where is located the highest massif of Crete , the PSILORITIS ( 2456 m ), which dominates the landscape.

On the north-coast are reunited the mostly overcrowded tourist centers (Armudára, Hersónissos, Mália) and the bustle.

But there are also smaller and quieter bays, like the pittoresque BALI and AGIA PELAGIA.
