DER OSTEN KRETAS

Diese Region ist durch die bergige und karge Landschaft geprägt. Die Hauptstadt ist Agios Nikolaos, berühmt für ihren malerischen Hafen und das bewegte Nachtleben.

Ein paar Kilometer weiter im Osten liegt sich die exklusive Bucht von Elunda, wo sich viele Luxushotels befinden und die oft Treffpunkt der griechischen und internationalen Prominenz ist.

Vor der Elunda-Bucht sieht man die Insel Spinalonga mit der prächtigen grossen venezianischen Festung.

EAST CRETE

This region is determined by the mountaneous and frugal landscape. The capital is Agios Nikolaos, famous for its pittoresque harbour and the bustling nightlife.

A few kilometers eastwards is located the exclusive bay of Elunda , where there are many luxury hotels which are often the meeting point of Greek and international celebrities.

Before the Elounda bay can be seen the island Spinalonga with the magnificent big Venetian fortress.
